Belize City Community Gang Assessment
This report presents the key findings, recommendations, data, and analysis of a six-month assessment of gang activity in Belize City in 2018. The study was commissioned by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in conjunction with the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation, and Poverty Alleviation (MHDSTPA).
The goal of the study was to collect and assess data related to gang involvement and activity. The assessment and this report are intended to guide future strategies to prevent and reduce gang violence in Belize City.
