The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is working to further green and blue industry in Belize through the Japanese-funded project, Industrial Development and Technology Transfer in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) collaborated with the National Drug Abuse Control Council (NDACC), Ministry of Health and Wellness, on the first National Tobacco Control Youth Forum convened under the theme “Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction”. 

Belize has begun updating the national policy and plan that will help shape how forests, marine reserves and other conservation areas are managed over the next decade. 

An increased likelihood of below-average rainfall has been forecast in Belize for the upcoming season. In response, pre-identified farmers in the Orange Walk, Corozal, and Cayo districts of Belize will receive anticipatory cash assistance.
