In commemoration of World Refugee Day, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, organized a football game in Trio Village with refugees and community members. Many UN agencies, humanitarian and development partners, and civil society participated in this event. 

Sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and citizen participation, were among the themes addressed in skills-development and advocacy sessions for youth activists. 

The United Nations in Belize expresses its deep concern over the recent tragic incidents that have claimed the lives of women and children both in their homes and public spaces. The right to life is fundamental and should be expected and respected by all in Belize.
